It is LOL but it is for the best.

It was hard to be happy about a situation where you don't know if Miyazaki and his crew were just going to leave the moment they were acquired. Sony is interested in their anime more than in their games but if something like that happens after the acquisition it would have been a huge blow to the value of what they bought even if that wasn't the reason why they did it.

This way FS maintains "independent" and Sony can (and they should because they put a lot of money in this push) publish FS games instead of Bandai.

I doubt Miyazaki and the rest of From's leadership would depart the studio if Sony did acquire Kadokawa.

They have a great working relationship.

I choose to believe so too but I can't but think about Kamiya lol. Platinum Games didn't change after the Tencent acquisition, they made good games for the switch ant yet he left, people who were loyal to him also left to join him at what would be Clovers and now he is saying he doesn't have bad blood with PG but his creativity would have died if he stayed there LOL (so much for not having bad blood).

The minimal of details could have triggered a change, maybe sony closing Haven if fairgame fails or fs becoming a ps studio and making all their games exclusive.
