Just a clarification: I never called the people being excited by the trailer any of those things. People can be excited by whathever they want. My words were adressing the trailer itself and the intentions behind the people making it. The sad and pathetic thing is that they have put together a 4 + minutes trailer of a new IP with no gameplay or actual story in it, but got out of their way to list the entire Naughty Dog resume, knowing very well that it's the only redeeming quality about the video. Or at least that's how I see it. Obviously, people can be excited by the graphics, by the protagonist or by the glorified compact disk player. I don't really care. |
Ah, I misread it in that case then and upon rereading it with your clarification I can see that is what you meant now, my bad.
But as for the clarification, I don't really mind that either, Lol. Never really bothered me how or when a developer announces their game as long as it's their decision (not the publishers) as at the end of the day it is their game and there are actually decent reasons for announcing titles early too, a major one being hiring purposes, I tend to just forget about the games until they show them again, Lol.
