Huge chunk of Syria just turned into grey zone on Liveuamap as Assad's forces have retreated. Kurdish forces have taken the last remaining road into Iraq which essentially cuts Assad off from Iran. HTS are on the outskirts of Homs which will cut Assad off from Russian bases. Rebels from the South and North advancing. It looks like all Assad forces are falling back to Damascus.
If Homs falls then Assad is done, cut-off from all angles, no allies to help him, nowhere to run, all HTS would need to do is encircle Damascus and siege them, likely won't be long before Assad's forces turn on him if that were to happen, Russia has just confirmed to Assad that they can only help him in a limited capacity because of being occupied with Ukraine.
24 years of rule and 13 years of Russia actively defending their pet project Assad may end in a few weeks.
