They created the product and they define the market. They are the ones telling the masses what it is and how to even use it. Maybe several of us didn't know the PSP could do what you described because Sony (the creators) told us what it is. You do realize they carry that much influence of our interpretation right? That's why Nintendo included everything they did in the box because Nintendo understands they have that much control over what people see and think of their product they put on sale.
