At dawn, the SDF's Deir ez-Zor Military Council launched its offensive against the SAA, advancing from the direction of Al-Husseiniyah, one of the seven villages north of Deir ez-Zor, and removing barriers around the area.

The operation is called "Battle of Return" and was announced yesterday.
