That came out of the blue.
I won't say that he did an amazing job, but he has had to face the worst time Intel has had since, I don't know, maybe ever?
We'll see what the new heads of Intel do, but I hope they realize that they need to keep their GPU business alive.

Percentages alone don't really mean much without the proper context, at least to me, so I tried to find something to do with it and went to the easiest place, Techpowerup. Here's what I've found:
1) They reviewed RE4 before Nvidia and AMD launched their mid-to-high range cards, like the 7800XT:
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/resident-evil-4-benchmark-test-performance-analysis/4.html
2) RE4 is NOT a demanding RT title, we should compare it only to the other AMD cards.
3) They did use RE4 with the review of the 7800XT:
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-7800-xt/34.html
4) The numbes between one test and the other don't match perfectly. The results in the 7800XT review are lower than they were during the game review despite using the same hardware.
With that in mind, what we get is that, at 1080p, those 157.9fps from the 7900XTX with a 45% increase turn into 228.96fps, which is twice what the 7800XT delivers (114.2 vs 228.96).
It's an impressive result, but I'd wait until we get leaks, or better, proper reviews with more RT demanding games like Cyberpunk or Control/Alan Wake 2 before claiming that AMD has finally good enough RT performance.
That said, and looking at recent leaks/past rumors we've lately, this card could actually be quite good compared to what Nvidia may offer. If it perform like a 4080 in raster, have ok-ish RT, bring hardware AI for the upscaler, come with 16GB AND (a big part of the whole plot) AMD prices it like the 7800XT at $500 or less, it could blew Nvidia's rumored 5070 out of the water. But of course, that's a lot of IFs.
Please excuse my bad English.
