This is not about me trying to take anything away from the Switch. I'm happy for it's success. The issue is, if we call the switch a hybrid handheld/home console, it removes a category for true hybrid devices to fit into. There is a mini computer called the Beelink GTi12 ultra. It comes with a dock that you can put a graphics card into. It functions as a standalone device, but can co-function with a graphics card too. A true hybrid device.
The biggest question is, what if Nintendo releases a dock that has graphics hardware in it? If they did, then I would 100% call that a hybrid handheld/home console. If that happened now though, we have no distinction for it because it has already been taken away by a passthrough box/cable. That is what I'm trying to get at here but people are being overly defensive.
