Overthinking? Yes try harder, Sony did not annouce 155 was the final number, however they did annouce 155 was the number on March 12, 2012 so why is it now 160? So no the console warrior is the individual defending the obviously weird change and wants to talk about Gamecube instead of Sony possible dishonesty. Yet again a console warrior bends over backwards to bark orders at everyone but Sony, you should tell your favorite company to get over the Switch surpassing the PS2, there is nothing they can do about it.

It's not weird considering there been figures of 158-162m for years . Even vgchartz had it at 159m . Dude why are you all upset who cares if it's 158m or 160m it's still the best selling console of all time. Sony just announced it so stop over thinking it, its not like they would lie about something that's so meaningless. But you still haven't answered why there been figures of 158-161m for the past decade or so. It wasn't from Sony was it?

Did you really just say to me i still haven't answered your question like you have answered any of mine lol. Also you continue to tell me how I feel and how meaningless this is but your favorite company is the one that feels this is so important they needed to make the adjustment. Console warriors are something else lol, demand answers while dodging any questions asked of them and tell people how they feel like they aren't the ones bending over to shill for Sony.

I'll answer though, those are estimates by external parties because only Sony knows. The question is, if Sony knew in 2018 when they made an announcement, why are they backtracking and changing that number?

It is still the best selling console of all time, so I wonder why they want to move the figure up now?

What is there to over think? Accusing them of lying is a natural response to a company that obviously appears to be lying lol. It's ok buddy, PS2 was still a great console even if it loses its coveted title.
