If it's so silly why have some people in this thread agreed with me and the point I'm trying to make? It's an excellent point that was well worth bringing up. If Switch is a home console, so is the PSP because they can both do the same thing. Output to a TVÂ |
Maybe he thinks it's silly because it seems like you want everyone to refer to the Switch as a handheld when it was clearly designed to work as both a handheld and home console. About half of the time spent playing on the Switch is in docked mode from what I remember.
I had a PSP and loved it at the time and had no idea I could play it on my TV with some attachment until I saw your post. I looked up a video of that in action and it looks pretty useless, btw. From what I can tell you'd have to use the PSP as the controller and the cord looked so short that you'd have to sit on the floor 2 feet from the TV. So no two player games and sitting in an uncomfortable position. The only time I think I would've used that is if I wanted to watch Spiderman from my PSP on the TV. Almost like it was an afterthought for the handheld.
Either way you're entitled to your opinion even if it seems like the only reason you feel the need to bring it up is for something as silly as keeping the PS2 in its own category in your mind so it can still be the king of home consoles if/when the Switch surpasses it. I could be wrong but that's how it's coming off.
