Is the day of unique consoles mostly over?

The console industry will completely collapse if manufacturers cannot come up with unique ideas for systems. They can't rely on graphics differentiating systems nor justifying new ones, since furthering this graphical war will only lead to longer dev times, bigger deficits, and priced-out consumers.
