Since the article doesn't compare those numbers with the ones from the 4070 Ti and I was curious, I went to TPU's database to check it out and founf this:
GPU | 1070 Ti | 2070 SUPER | 3070 Ti | 4070 Ti | 5070 Ti |
Shaders | 2432 | 2560 | 6144 | 7680 | 8960 |
% increase | - | 5,00 % | 140,00 % | 25,00 % | 16,67 % |
* Quick reminder that Nvidia went from 32 shaders per ROP to 64 with Ampere and Ada, hence the big jump.
We still don't know the frequency of the new part, how much better is the new architecture and what kind of impact the extra bandwidth of GDDR7 brings to the part, but right now I'd guess that the performance will be roughly on par with the 4080.
Please excuse my bad English.
