Amazon was sued for removing copies of "1984" and "Animal Farm" from libraries and even devices. The publisher did not have the rights to the works in question so Amazon went in and erased them. They settled out of court and said they wouldn't do it again, that they're changing the way they handle such situations, but its not as if there was a judgement against them. Wouldn't surprise me to see them go back on their promise if they believe they can get away with it.
