I didn't know that was a fact. How do you propose we stop it? We can always go with my favorite solution that I got from Futurama, go drill a huge block of ice from a comet and drop it in the ocean.

A collective WE will not stop it, but many individuals, who do progressively take small steps to reduce their evergy waste and who inspire others to do the same can have an impact. If not an environmental impact at least and economic one, by saving money.
