What stopped this from happening like.. a long time ago? |
America had to give Russia enough time to move their military equipment out of range /s (actually you know what, I'm not sarcastic, that is probably why America dragged their feet for so long). That or another red-line proven to be utter horseshit and fucking years wasted for nothing, once again. It's too fucking late now anyway, 2 months before America backstabs Ukraine and Russia has already moved everything out of range.
The only benefit at this stage is if Ukraine manages to keep a hold of Kursk before Trump then Russia won't want any negotiations, that's why Russia is trying so hard to push Ukraine out of Kursk recently (horrific videos coming out recently of Russia's disaster pushes in Kursk) because if Russia can push Ukraine out of Kursk before Trump comes into power, then Trump says "lets pause the war on the current frontlines" then Russia loses nothing but gains most of Donbas, half of Zaporizhzhia and half of Kherson. That is why Russia is trying desperately to push Ukraine out of Kursk and why Ukraine is desperately trying to hold onto it. So maybe this move helps Ukraine keep hold of Kursk.
