Lebanon labels Israeli attack in Sidon ‘war crime’
The Lebanese government has accused Israel of carrying out “war crimes” following its deadly drone attack in the southern city of Sidon on Thursday.
Lebanese authorities said an Israeli drone struck a vehicle in the city while a UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) convoy was driving close by. Three people were killed in the attack and several more were injured, including six Malaysian peacekeepers.
Lebanon’s Foreign Ministry described the attack as “an escalation in Israel’s targeting of UNIFIL forces, Lebanese soldiers and civilians constituting war crimes and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law”.

Lebanon’s healthcare system under attack by Israel’s military
The town of Nabatieh has been attacked but this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the widespread destruction taking place in southern Lebanon with villages along the border almost completely destroyed in Israel’s assault.
The health sector is also under attack. There are only seven hospitals that remain open. Eight hospitals have been completely closed down. The health sector is working at about 25 percent capacity than in normal times. Between October 5 and November 5, one child a day has been killed, according to UNICEF. About 10 children a day are also being injured, and the psychological effect of that is incredible.
Israel keeps saying “we are killing thousands of Hezbollah fighters” but the figures we’re getting from Lebanon’s health ministry show a large percentage of the people being killed are women and children.
There’s no diplomatic solution to this right now, there’s no ceasefire talks right now.
