Israeli army kills at least 20 people in strike on Lebanon

An Israeli strike on the Lebanese town of Barja has killed at least 20 people, the Health Ministry says. Barja is a coastal town in the Mount Lebanon governorate about 20km (12 miles) south of the capital.

Earlier, a strike targeting another residential building in Jiyeh, near Barja, killed one person, according to the Health Ministry.

Israel has killed at least 3,013 people and wounded 13,553 in its attacks on Lebanon since the war on Gaza began.


Israeli warplanes raid Lebanon’s Tyre, Nabatieh

Israeli warplanes have raided the southern town of Deir Qanoun en-Nahr in Lebanon’s Tyre district. Severe damage to private and commercial properties was reported by Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).

Israeli warplanes also struck the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif and the village of Arnoun in the Nabatieh governorate, NNA reported.


Israel shells village in Lebanon’s Tyre district

Israeli artillery has targeted the eastern outskirts of the Alma ash-Shaab village in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese television station Al-Manar.

The broadcaster also reported heavy machinegun fire in the area.

Israeli warplanes have raided the Mount Lebanon governorate’s towns of Aaitat and Wadi Jilo, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA). This coincided with the flight of reconnaissance and drone aircraft in the skies of the Tyre district and its surroundings in southern Lebanon, the agency added.

Shortly before that, Israeli warplanes launched raids on the villages of Jebchit and Kfar Sir in the Nabatieh governorate, NNA said.


Israeli military threatens residents in Lebanon’s Nabatieh

Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee has ordered forced displacement for residents in the Nabatieh area in southern Lebanon.

“For your safety and the safety of your family members, you must evacuate the buildings and those adjacent to them immediately and stay away from them for a distance of no less than 500 meters, as shown on the maps,” Adraee said.

“You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the [Israeli forces] will operate in the near future,” he said.


At least 10 rockets launched at central, northern Israel from Lebanon: Army

The Israeli army says at least 10 rockets have been launched from Lebanon at central and northern Israel. Some of the projectiles were intercepted, it said, adding that at least one rocket fell in the centre of the country.

The Times of Israel reported an impact near Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport without elaborating on the details.


Hezbollah claims to have attacked northern Israel

The Lebanese armed group says it has fired rockets at the settlement of Sasa in northern Israel’s upper Galilee region. The group also claimed to have attacked the city of Kiryat Shmona near the Lebanese border “with a salvo of rockets”. The group also said it launched rockets at the Kfar Szold settlement in the upper Galilee and missiles at the Rawiya military base in Syria’s occupied Golan Heights.

Hezbollah also claimed to have targeted a Merkava tank in Israel’s Metula settlement with a guided missile, saying the vehicle was burnt and its crew injured. Also in Metula, a house was hit when a group of Israeli soldiers were inside, the group said, adding that an unidentified number of them were killed and wounded.


Israel issues new threats to residents of southern Beirut

The Israeli military’s Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee has issued forced displacement orders to residents in the southern suburban area of Beirut’s Burj al-Barajneh.

“You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the [Israeli army] will act forcefully in the near future,” he said on X.

“For your safety and the safety of your family members, you must evacuate these buildings and those adjacent to them immediately and stay away from them for a distance of no less than 500 meters [1,640 feet].”


Total 120 rockets fired from Lebanon towards Israel today: Report

One hundred twenty rockets have been fired from Lebanon towards Israel since the morning, according to Israel’s Channel 12. Israel’s military additionally said sirens sounded across the country for the second time today due to Hezbollah’s attacks.
