- Israel’s assault on Gaza has continued, including attacks on residential buildings in the north that have killed 84 people, including more than 50 children, according to the Government Media Office.
- Israel says it has killed Izz al-Din Kassab in an air strike in Khan Younis, describing him as one of the last high-ranking members of Hamas responsible for coordinating with other groups in Gaza.
- Senior Hamas officials have said Israel is not taking Gaza ceasefire negotiations seriously, offering a temporary truce that falls short of demands for a permanent halt to Israel’s war on the enclave.
