Not that I agree with your sentiment but I chuckled at you asking how it will benefit Basil because Basil has like every platform released and based on his wishlist that dude must have thousands of games on Steam, Lmao. It won't affect Basil at all, positive or negative, if Xbox hardware ceased to exist (and that's not on a comment on if I think it will or won't) but Basil is far from locked to a single platform.

That's where you are wrong. One platform disappearing from the market will affect everybody; Regardless if you used to use that platform or not.
