I have a cousin who is half Puerto-Rican and half-Dominican. He is very conservative due to being in the army for decades and surrounded by that authoritarian conservative mindset. Also from growing up in a very rural area in his teenage years.

Clearly voted for Trump in 2016, based on his social media posts, and I am unsure if he voted for him in 2020.

He doesn't live in a swing state (he lives in a solidly red state), but there are many like him who do.

Even if you lose a few thousand people from this, that can be the difference between winning or losing a swing state.

Many older white Trump voters either died from covid due to being anti-vaxxers or moved to Florida. That's partly why Trump's campaign was trying to manufacture the idea that he was gaining support amongst black and hispanic men. Good way to lose any actual gains he made there with his 21st century Nazi MSG rally. Basically it comes down to how much they can delude themselves that Trump is not racist in a dangerous way and how misogynistic they are.
