MP says Israeli society has become ‘more beastly and bloodthirsty’
Israeli legislator Ofer Cassif has accused “most of the Israeli media” of gradually becoming “one big mouthpiece of the government” since the October 7 attacks on southern Israel.
Cassif, a member of the Israeli Knesset representing the far-left Hadash coalition, said the “media’s spiral of silence” has made “Israeli society more and more beastly and bloodthirsty”.
He added that this silence has enabled the “atrocities committed in Gaza and the accelerated fascism in Israel”.
