Hm...I must admit I don't remember needing specific card for it - it does say on Wiki there were two versions, one for Winfast GD400, and other doesn't state any specific requirements.
Admittedly, this was all happening in the late autumn/early winter of my interest in driving games (only to be sparked for a brief moment with Collin McRae Rally), so even usual memory blurriness is more like a fog at this point on that matter.
