When I first played Street Fighter Alpha and saw just how close it was to the arcade with its large characters, tons of colors and crisp sound, I knew this console was not going to be just another 3DO or CDi to me. But it was Resident Evil when I took notice of the greatness of the Playstation. My friends and I rented that game so many times because so many of the copies were scratched, causing the game to hang up in spots. Took us forever to finally get through it and the sequel made a bunch of improvements but Resident Evil was the beginning of what would become one of my favorite IPs in gaming.
