I think China supported it at the start, when they thought it would be over in 2 weeks, Lol.
I reckon it's more likely that China is quietly frustrated by everything at this stage though, how long it has taken Russia, how things are escalating, etc. China is led by equally horrible people but China is a lot smarter than Russia, its country is far more financially locked in with America/Europe and China needs the West as much as the West needs China. Plus China's military is not yet ready to make an attempt on Taiwan but all these events happening are risking all of this for China, I don't believe that want to take Taiwan (yet) or they want their economy to blow up but events may "force" that earlier than China would like, I doubt China is okay with North Korea fucking around when it's angering South Korea this much.
China of course, could always pull their finger out their ass if they really don't want this, they could sort out their problem child in North Korea fairly easily and they could tell Russia to stop and China joining in on the sanctions would fucking destroy Russia but China is also still blinded by their hatred of the West too so it feels like they're stuck between "I hate the West so I must support Russia" and "I like money"
