Trump's new campaign strategy is... making french fries.
With less than three weeks until the election Donald Trump decided to focus on the most important issue of the election, whether or not Kamala Harris worked at McDonalds.
So Donald Trump is going to McDonalds to accomplish ummmmm... something? I guess he's out to prove that the job is easy, but... if Kamala didn't do the job, why does that matter?
Trump spent the day awkwardly fumbling with the fry cooker and clearly gumming up the works. No indication that he actually worked a full shift, but if he did, that was a profoundly stupid way to spend half a day of the final weeks of a campaign.
This is an example of one the bigger problems of the campaign. They have tried desperately to find a scandal, any scandal, to attach to Harris, and they just can't. They were able to do so successfully in 2016 (Benghazi, emails, no stamina), tried unsuccessfully in 2020 (Hunter Biden), and now Trump is just kind of flailing.
We actually have votes now, and maybe I'll discuss them more closely later, but the headline is that early voting is breaking records. If turnout is especially high this year, the question is, what group is especially inspired? My guess would be women voters, which would be good for Harris.
