Indeed. As far as I recall, before the Wii launched, the most optimistic prediction for total lifetime sales was 30m.

 

My favorite was still the "Wii will win this generation" April Fool's joke by GS.  It seemed so ridiculous and laughable that they made an April Fool's joke out of it!  That article also gave us the "Game are meant to be one thing - fun" line as a joke.
