I'm switching to Apple when my laptop gets too old. Who knows, it might still last years. It will be nice not to have any updates screwing things up anymore.
I've tried turning Windows update off before, yet after 3 months it screwed me over anyway. I had to do a full Windows re-install as updates didn't work anymore after uninstalling Edge, and that one update requiring Edge screwed up everything after.
My youngest has Windows 11 on his PC, no thanks. I still don't know where to find everything in Win 10.
