Pre-built the cheapest I see is this

CAD 2,100 (700 dollars off atm, on sale) and has terrible reviews.

PS5 Pro is CAD 960 here, the drive CAD 100. But that includes a controller (which are CAD 95 here now)

So yeah, about half the price of a pre-built (crappy) PC.

What do you think of the video I posted here:
https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=9545899

I think that video is more than a month old, before PS5pro was out.
There is no testing, or anything, all he does is look at the CU's inside of a AMD card that best matches the PS5, and adds around 40% performance to it.
To estimate were a PS5pro would be, performance wise compaired to a PC, with a GPU.

He calls the CPU old, but dis-regards that some CPU heavy tasks on PC side, are off-loaded onto custom hardware units, on the PS5.
So the CPU in a PS5 is punching way above its weight, you need a beefier CPU on a PC to come close to PS5 levels of cpu performance.
(which granted he does do, since theres a hefty short time limited sale bundle on cpu+mb atm for him)

He ends up using DDR4 system memory at 3200 speeds.
He "saves" money by using a much Slower SSD at only 1 TB (instead of 2 that comes with a PS5pro).
(quoted as saying "you can always upgrade lateron")

He ends up saying a Radeon 6800 gpu is "close enough", to a PS5pro.
Ignoreing that it doesn't have AI based upscaleing, and its roughly like 20% slower than the PS5pro GPU.

He also titles the video "700$ PC.." ect, but spends like 850$ (because blu-ray drive and stand for the PS5pro, also cost some money).
(while not getting a disc drive for his pc build)

And he says just pirate windows to keep prices down.

And all of that, he still isn't able to make a PC equal to a PS5pro, for 850$.

What do I think of the video?
Hes a very PC focused guy, with his own channel, that wants to showcase PCs in the best possible light.
Hes not doing what he set out to do though.  (and I like the guy, I watch his content often)

Because of AI upscaling, I think on PC, you would need DLSS to compair.
The closest GPU thats equal or better than a PS5pro, is a nvidia 4070 (the base one, not a super or ti or whatever).
However those are expensive, like 550$ alone for the GPU.
If you want a small win, vs a PS5pro, you need to accept that your gonna end up spending like 1000$+ for it
Now that extra cost, is going to be saved over time, from not having to pay for online play and stuff like that.
So over time, it'll probably cost same or less than getting a PS5pro.
The trade offs, are its not as "hands off" and "chill" as just using a console is.
