Whatever happens in the Middle-East is very unlikely to develop into WW3.

Iran is still scared of America but they have to project power still, so when Israel does something that hurts Iran, they do something back that hurts Israel, I hate Iran (and Israel) but I fully believe that Iran does not want a war with Israel because it knows it will lose, so instead we have these tit-for-tat exchanges. If Iran wasn't afraid of Israel and/or America they'd get shit over with and declare war on Israel already, they'd stop hiding behind proxy terrorist groups. Israel sucks too, escalating every chance they get but WW3 is still very unlikely to come from this specific region.

Well they certainly projected their power, them missiles were damn fast. I have to wonder did they actually expect the Iron Dome to take them down. Let's see what the tat in this title for tat is and what Isreal will do and if the US will openly help Isreal. We'll really be able to gleam a lot from how this is handled. The US and Isreal need to put the fear of God into Iran right now.

The US is looking for an off ramp. The last thing that US and Israel should do now is disproportionate retaliation, especially now Iran considers its even again. (2 attacks on Iran, embassy in Damascas and bombing of Haniyeh in Tehran, 2 attacks on Israel with minor damage)

However Iran has said they will continue to defend themselves and next time they will target civilian infrastructure.

Hopefully that's just more threats to appear tough and they'll downplay a small retaliatory counter attack like they did last time. And hopefully Biden/Blinken can convince Netanyahu to keep it small.
