Long time no see !

Now that almost every FF are on Xbox, wich one would you recommand to a newcomer ?
I hesitated to take the pixel remastered collection...

You can buy individual titles in the pixel collection.

I'm not gonna pretend I'm a huge fan of the series, but there's always specific titles that always come up whenever it comes to the "best" FF games, such as 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10 come up the most.

What's difficult though as a newcomer to the franchise is that there's literally over 3 decades of mainline games that have gone through every single iteration of gaming technology. Because of that, I would probably want to start with the older games first as any diehard fan will tell you how special those games are.

I have a problem myself I just can't start a game series half way though even when they are not sequels and when a game has got a 2nd, 3rd or 4th entry before I discovered it or realised it looks like something I like I just have to find a way to start it from the original..

..but in regards to Final Fantasy for someone who hasn't played it before and may not be a big JRPG fan in general it would be hard to recommend them to play through 6 pixel remasters to start with the series so the other main points of entry are probably either 7 because it's where the vast majority of modern FF fans got into the series or 10 because it has a good HD remaster an amazing story and soundtrack and was when voice acting came into FF and from there if you find it's your thing you can venture back into the series history.

and if we talking about the best it's IX obviously.
