The “hostile targets” were intercepted following an explosion heard in the Syrian capital Damascus, according to state media reports on Tuesday.

At least three people have been confirmed killed and nine injured after a suspected Israeli attack on Damascus, Syrian state media reports.
The Al Mayadeen news outlet reports that local journalist Safaa Ahmad was among those killed in the attack, which hit the Mezzeh neighbourhood in the Syrian capital. Rescue crews are dealing with fires on the ground.
The Israeli military has yet to confirm the attack. We will bring you more information when we have it.
