Israeli fighter jets have bombed a house in Deir el-Balah’s Hakr al-Jami area, killing the woman and her child, according to the Wafa news agency.
Two killed in Israeli attack on school in Beit Lahiya
The Israeli military bombed the Abu Jaafar School sheltering displaced people in Beit Lahiya’s al-Sultan neighbourhood in northern Gaza, the Wafa news agency is reporting.
At least two people have been killed and others injured.
Israeli military claims ‘terrorists’ hiding inside bombed school
The Israeli military has claimed that a school it bombed in Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, was being used as a Hamas “command and control centre”.
“[The Abu Jaafar School] was used by the terrorists to plan and execute terrorist attacks against [Israeli] troops and the State of Israel,” it claimed in a statement, adding that it conducted a “precise strike on Hamas terrorists” inside the school.
Earlier, we reported that at least two people were killed in Sunday night’s attack on the school, which now houses displaced Palestinians.

Israeli forces carry out arrests during West Bank raids
The Israeli military has carried out arrests after raiding several locations in the occupied West Bank in recent hours, according to local media reports.
Incidents include:
- Israeli forces arrested eight men from the al-Amour family during a raid on the town of Tuqu’, south of Bethlehem.
- Freed prisoner Majd Hourani was re-arrested after Israeli soldiers stormed his home in Qalqilya.
- Palestinian resistance groups have targeted Israeli forces with a homemade bomb during a raid on the old Askar camp, east of Nablus.
