The best approach for next gen is for Sony and Xbox to dial it back in terms of power (...although they probably wont get a free pass unlike Nintendo cause they can get away with anything)
- have it slightly more powerful than the PS5 Pro.
- focus on smoothing out 4K gaming with consistent 60fps
- backwards compatible
- keep low cost
- if going all digital then make sure you have add-on disc drive
- design wise, don't make it look oddly shaped, even when the disc drive is attached
- when mid gen hits, reduce price with slim model, no pro model needed or else everyone gets in a frenzy and everybody talks like they're all PC experts left and right, but more importantly it wont make early adapters feel like they're getting an inferior experience. Equal playing field throughout the gen.
