I'm not sure what to make of the rumors about the PS6 having two SoC's in development.

I'd rather Sony have a more conservative approach to PS6 hardware than following the Series X/S model. Although I'm personally leaning towards a more robust successor to the Portal launching shortly after the PS6.

I think this makes the existence of the PS5Pro even more important: PSSR. I hope there's the possibility of a portable version.

Yeah, I think these upscaling technologies are going to be the catalyst that platform holders are betting on going forward to improve performance while also helping to alleviate costs. Pure performance seems to have hit an affordability ceiling in the console market. There's been constant leaks that even Nintendo will be taking advantage of DLSS with their next generation Switch.

And with tech like PSSR getting continuous refinement as the next several years go on, that certainly would open the door for a nowhere near as powerful handheld, but with very competent performance. And I don't mean with a separate library. A premium home PS6 and a portable PS6.
