He sent a "threatening" letter basically telling Musk to respect the laws of the EU in regards to allowing conspiracy theories and hate speech run rampant. Such as fake news amplified on Twitter which led to riots across the UK. He reminded him that X is currently under investigation. He didn't say "If you allow Donald Trump on Twitter we're going to arrest you" so that's utter horseshit. Also, how or why the fuck would the EU arrest Elon Musk? Seems this dude doesn't understand the difference between a military alliance and an economic bloc. Well, it could be that he's simply a massive idiot but it sure is interesting how Trump and Vance are constantly attacking NATO and making threats regarding it, exactly what Putin wants. NATO wasn't a partisan issue until MAGA came along, every other Republican understood the importance of it until Trump and the importance of European security, European relationships and keeping Russia at bay.
Dude is essentially saying, if you don't stop being mean to our billionaire then we're going to leave NATO and put your entire security in question, saying this during a time where Russia is invading Ukraine and making constant threats of violence towards Poland, Baltic States, etc. Seriously, how can Europe consider America any sort of ally if these two twats get into power? Why is Elon Musk capable of censoring on behalf of Türkiye and India against critics of Erdogan and Modi but is unable to remove (5?) Trump’s running mate also suggested that Europe, specifically Germany, and not Russia, would have to fund the rebuilding of Ukraine. “Ukraine remains an independent sovereignty. Russia gets the guarantee of neutrality from Ukraine. It does not join NATO and some other allied institutions. Germans and other nations have to fund Ukraine’s reconstruction,” Vance added.
Ukraine is independent but Russia gets to keep the territory it has currently stolen, amounts to around 15-20% of Ukraine IIRC. Ukraine is alone and open to future attacks because they can't join any military alliances. Germany has to pay for Ukraine's reconstruction, not the country that caused the destruction. Russia attacks in the future for further territory.
JD's idea is basically to give Russia almost everything it wants, I say almost because Russia originally wanted all of Ukraine but that's not militarily feasible in the current situation, they've got bogged down and have real issues that need addressing in their military, they would need a complete reset to try again (and will) but of course JD can't say "Ukraine will surrender all of itself to Russia" because that'd make it too obvious he's a fucking Russian puppet, knowingly or not.
Also, has anyone asked Trump about his idea of how he'll end the war in "24 hours" why he didn't end the war in 2017 - 2021? Can somebody point out to him that Russia-Ukraine have been at war since 2014? Why didn't genius Trump manage to convince Russia to leave Crimea and Donbas during his term? Instead he threatened to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for political favours. Now we're expected to believe he can end it in 24 hours when Russia today has far more than just Crimea and part of Donbas? Lol.
