Wait, is this just a thread about Adventure games overall now ?

In that case, I'll preface by saying Kotaro Uchikoshi(Writer and Game designer at Too Kyo) has kinda been an almost unequaled master of the genre since the Nonary Games (999, Virtue's Last Reward, Zero Time Dilemma) came out back on the DS or The Somnium Files series.

The guy one ups the conventional aspects of the branching story paths in multiple choices story games by making the branching path having a purpose to the story itself(and in different ways too). That comes in with of course, excellent character writings and fascinating exploration of pseudo-science/esoteric concepts.

It's truly out there.

Not to mention Hotel Dusk. Flower Sun and Rain are also on DS. DS and Wii helped bring back the genre. Zack and Wiki were fun. Something like Detroit is a poorly written tone def take on American Civil Rights issues of the 1950s tho black people could not simply peel off an LED sticker off their heads lol. Cage is so awful at writing it's hilarious. That dude thinks a urine-filled rain puddle is as deep as the Atlantic. I need to try the games you mentioned. They look good. I also need to try Ghost Trick. Loved Ace Attorney games.
