I'd be down for that. But they should add a traditional healthbar and have the KO system just be insta-kills. Combat system would work way better that way.

Considering that some of the praise given to Concord was the high level of polish to the game, I think it really poor taste to accuse them of being terrible at their jobs.

Not saying it's a bad thing as we have no idea what they're working on, but it would be quite the miracle if they successfully made the transition. So with Bend being inexperienced in live services and Bungie going through the studios arguably most turbulent time, it's unsurprising to be nervous about how things are going to turn out rather than the argument that live services are inherently bad. Because they're not. I'm hoping they can turn out to be good. Especially Marathon because Bungie has always been a special developer to me, but I'm terrified for the future of the studio. Especially as you mentioned the administration side, which has plagued the studio since the early Halo days. |
Bend aren't making a live-service game. They're making an open-world with a multiplayer component to it, something akin to Tsushima w/ it's Legends MP mode. Unless their game is announced as otherwise, just because they were looking for someone with live-service knowledge doesn't change what we know about the game so far. Also, the sequel to Days Gone was intended to have a MP component. So I think that factors into our understanding of their new IP as well.
