Interestingly, one of the professional backgrounds that has performed much better than others in understanding the Kremlin's thirst for blood is that of historian. Perhaps it's the hard work of studying original documents from very different eras.

In my reading though, I believe that Putin and company, being themselves Chekist gangsters, wouldn't mind having their regime and their country properly fucked over, provided it's done by a worthy country that offers a touch of class, and of course plenty of perfidy.
Lul. They can try, I have no fear of Russia, I only fear what Russia will do to our allies.
We fought Nazis before and we'll do it again if those Nazis come knocking on our doors again.
