It's odd to think that while they are designed to be played over and over, for me, this type of gameplay wears thin, depending on the rogue like game. However, based on the hours Slay The Spire is probably my "favourite". Few hundred hours on PC and PS5.

Meanwhile, Hades for example, is a superb game, I played the story, got loads of extra stuff but then just stopped. I had my fill. I tested myself once on it, started complete fresh, beat REDACTED in 4 runs.

Gungeon. The end grind of that was put me off a lot. Darkest Dungeon, I've also played a lot but you wanna know something, never went into the main dungeon ever. I just presumed you needed to level up, did then someone died then I got sad, stopped play, picked it up again and started again. :P

Most others, I stopped early if I wasn't enjoying the unlock/progress procedure. This includes Returnal, got to the boss once and could never make it back after so many runs, if you 'skip' areas, you are weaker so why would you skip, so i'd struggle to ever get back to there.

Hmm, pie.
