Brooo. I thought he would have got permission from MS to use the fable IP, or failing that there be some weird legal loophole where Peter Molyneux retained some rights to the Fable IP.

But the madman just went ahead and did it.

The trailer says "The familiar vast world of Albion", familiar because we've been there before. It's the Fable universe lol.

This is exactly why it could cause legal issues, not because it's bad to use the "Albion" name, that's just the name of old England, but Peter is purposely causing confusion, I don't blame you for thinking his game was part of the Fable IP. He is very clearly skirting the line as close as he can, he's trying to use Fable to prop his game up, he's trying to use his connection to Fable to prop it up, then he's straight up using well known terms from Fable like "Hero" and setting it in the same place and in interviews saying it's an expansion to the universe and set in the same world as Fable because they're both in Albion...I'm sorry but you don't use the terminology "set in the same world" for two games which happen to be in the same country, Lol.

And good point about his "familiar" comment, that's another thing to add to the suspicious pile. How is Albion familiar when it literally is just the name for Great Britain? So your trailer is either saying the vast world of Great Britain is familiar for some reason, even though this is a fantasy setting, or the more likely scenario, he's trying to trick people into thinking it's part of Fable's universe.

It'd be one thing if this was a developer who had no attachment to Fable, made a game set in "Albion" but it looked nothing like Fable, it was its own fantasy take or even realistic take because Albion is just the name for GB, it doesn't have to mean fantasy, but for someone to come out who is heavily connected to Fable, then bang on about his connections to Fable and make multiple references to Fable, it's sus, Lmao.
