Israeli attack on Gaza market kills at least nine Palestinians
Israeli forces have targeted a street near the al-Birka roundabout. It’s in the heart of Deir el-Balah. It’s a very busy area. The attack was a drone strike. We saw many wounded people, most of them children, coming into the hospital in ambulances.
The hospital is also crowded with children lying on the ground without any treatment. Al-Aqsa Hospital has been suffering due to lack of medical supplies. Since Israeli forces took over the Philadelphi Corridor, there has been no supplies entering the Strip.
More wounded are now coming in. We are not allowed to enter the hospital. You barely have the space to walk because of the amount of blood, bodies and children on the floor. There was no warning, no sign that there is going to be a target, and this is the main reason why there are so many casualties.
Most of those wounded in Israel’s Deir el-Balah market strike are children
There are at least 10 Palestinians, including children, still in the ICU. They suffered critical injuries after Israeli forces targeted a roundabout in Deir el-Balah. This area is also close to the market, it’s a very busy street. It has a lot of traffic and that’s why there are a lot of casualties.
Most of those who were wounded were children. We saw them in the hospital in the corridors lying on the ground, covered in blood and waiting for doctors.
At the same time, we know that since Israeli forces took over the Philadelphi Corridor there has been no medical supplies entering Gaza and that’s why the number of casualties is expected to rise.
Moving to Khan Younis, we just learned that Israeli forces targeted a point for internet and charging, leading to four Palestinians being killed and many wounded.
Palestinian officials say US responsible in ‘continued massacres’ in Gaza
Gaza’s Government Media Office has condemned the three Israeli air raids in the past few hours that have killed at least 25 Palestinians. The bombing of the Mustafa Hafez School in Gaza City, a market in Deir el-Balah, and a mobile phone charging point in Khan Younis also wounded dozens more.
“These massacres come as part of the ongoing genocide that the occupation uses various policies to complete, including targeting civilians in shelters and displacement centres and targeting gatherings of civilians,” it said in a statement.
“We hold the Israeli occupation and the American administration fully responsible for the catastrophic and dangerous consequences of these ongoing massacres.”
