Agreed. Compared to the 360/PS3 times, there are way more games. During the 360/PS3 era, I had to branch out and try new genres due to the lack of good games in my preferred genres. Now there are too many games in my favorite genre, I just stick to my guns.

For years I been wanting to play Witcher 3, for the last year I been wanting to play BG3. But I see no point when games that I know I will enjoy keep coming out. I am semi hoping for a drought soon so I can attempt Witcher 3.
