Apparently they are getting rid of the 2K client for some games, but games going forward are going to require a 2k login within the games themselves?.
I dunno about you but that still feels like a cop out and worse to me, because that still complies with their wishes to enforce a layer of DRM as well as still being able to collect data from us. All they're doing is disposing of an annoying external app launcher, in exchange for internal login requirements (which we still shouldn't need when we have Steam).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
