| endimion said: doesn't mean it's peter's fault, my point is that everybody is saying he is not providing on what he promises. and I answer yes because we all know what he promises is often far beyond what the technology available has to offer. the real issue here is we have a guy with unlimited ideas and tech with limited possibilities... So peter's should shut up sometime, but the real problem in the outcome of his games is more often tech related than a bad development or a bad idea.... |
So if I promise that a game will have the best visuals ever and run at 1080p at 60fps, then when the game is released and it turns out it runs at 720p and 30fps, it's ok? Because the technology just wasn't there to accomplish my vision? Don't blame me for my lies, blame technology for not catching up to my lies.
You don't hype up features that are NOT in the game. Remember how trees were going to grow in Fable? Yea, I don't remember that in the game either. Peter Molyneux is notorious for hyping his games beyond belief. The good news for Fable 2 though, is that he's been pretty quiet on the hyping front, which bodes well (IMO) for the game. He's no longer promising all these outlandish features, but seems like he's just hyping what is already implemented in the game.
