That number might very well put the PS3 over the Wii in terms of worldwide sales. After this happens I wonder if people will continue to say the PS3 is doing horrible.
4 million? Last I heard Britian (UK) had secured 220,000 units and then asked Sony to bump it up to 300k, which they did. Historically UK is 1/4 of Europe in terms of sales. So likely that brings the total to 1.2 million available for Launch. Yes, they are selling out. PS3 has taken 15 times as many pre-orders as Wii did. Will it go over the Wii numbers for both systems? No. Unfortunately by the end of March we are likely only looking at 4 million consoles world wide (actually sold).
