Sawyer in his Q&A on YouTube said a few things.

- He'd be interested in doing another spy game.

- Feargus came up with the idea of Avowed, a year-ish after Deadfire. He was very much burnout, couldn't direct anything, took until Pentiment to get him back into the idea of directing and to recover from burnout which is why he didn't want to direct Avowed.

- He doesn't care about others directing IPs he created, he says it isn't his and never was his, that's his mentality, he doesn't have control over the IP so he takes the stance that it isn't his choice either way, he is willing to give his opinion on how an IP is used but isn't an overprotective parent because it never belonged to him in the first place. He thinks it's the only healthy way to view this stuff.

- He gives a talk about Pillars 3 after BG3 but it's long so it's better to just listen for yourself. (TLDW; BG3 cost a ton of money, the reception to the IPs is different, the gameplay is different, the story is different, he doesn't think he can deliver something that appeals to the BG3 audience. He doesn't think it would make money back, but he'd work on it still if he was given a shit ton of money, Lol).

- Sawyer isn't a a huge fan of romances in RPGs.

- Would consider a Pillars adaptation but it's not his call, however he made them to be games, he doesn't have a desire to see them in other medium, he doesn't mind but he doesn't have any strong desire.

- If Microsoft or Bethesda asked him to do another Fallout he said his response would be "Sure" but it would depend on the boundaries, what he's allowed to do and what he's not allowed to do, what he will be allowed to do this time that he wasn't allowed to do last time, if the constraints are too constraining then it's not appealing. He loves the Fallout IP and thinks there's a ton of stories to be told.
