For the 1st quarter of the 4th full fiscal year (orange) the 2.4 million the PS5 shipped is 0.9 million down on PS4's 3.3 million and after 15 quarters the PS5 totals 61.7 million compared to 63.5 million for the PS4. This means launch aligned the PS5 is 1.8 million behind PS4.

Sony over shipped the PS5 in Q4 2023/2024. Which is why the gap is now particularly big. However I expect the gap between PS5 and PS4 to grow for the rest of PS5 remaining years on the market.

you're forgetting that there's still GTA 6 and several big games to come out in 2025 and 2026. Santa Monica games, Naught Dog, Wolverine, Monster Hunter and other games will help boost PS5 sales
