Growing up in Europe it was not all that provocative to me. More like honoring French art/cinema. Yet I can see how it's shocking NA lol.
The culture difference when it comes to nudity and flamboyant expression is very wide.

But indeed, it wasn't honoring the Olympics all that much, nor showing much of the country as is usually the case in opening ceremonies. It was entertaining anyway, showing total freedom of expression. Now I wonder what the closing one has in store.
