Israeli forces prepare to demolish homes south of Hebron

Israeli forces, accompanied by heavy demolition vehicles, have stormed the town of Wadi al-Jawaya, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, in preparation for demolishing homes in the town, according to our colleagues on the ground.

An Al Jazeera correspondent also reported that Israeli forces are bulldozing infrastructure in the Tulkarem refugee camp in the West Bank during its military operation that has been ongoing for more than 10 hours.

Children among 77 killed in nine months of Israeli drone strikes in West Bank

The raid in Tulkarem has been going on for more than 12 hours now. The communication has been disrupted and electricity cut off to the refugee camp.

We know there was a drone strike; this is the latest in 28 drone attacks that the Israeli army has carried out in the occupied West Bank in the past nine months.

Those strikes in total have killed 77 Palestinians, including 14 children. In this particular attack, we know that one woman was killed. Her body was delivered to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

The Israeli army is talking about two fighters who were killed. The bodies of the Palestinians killed in that attack were taken away by the Israeli army, so we have no confirmation. But local sources in the camp are telling Al Jazeera that up to five people were killed in that drone attack.

Further to the south in Sa’ir and ash-Shuyukh, we have confirmation from Palestinian Health Ministry sources that two Palestinians were killed in separate raids in those areas.

The Israeli military has been carrying out constant raids across the occupied territory. The number of those raids has tripled in the past nine months.

Israel forces Palestinian to demolish his home in East Jerusalem

A Palestinian channel has published videos on Telegram showing a Palestinian man, Khalil Kabaja, being forced to demolish his two-storey home in the village of at-Tur, in occupied East Jerusalem.

The videos have been verified by Sanad, Al Jazeera’s fact-checking agency.

House demolitions in East Jerusalem have surged 60 percent since October 7 and the number of Palestinians who are bulldozing their own homes to avoid a hefty fine has doubled. Most often, Palestinians are found guilty of building without a permit by an occupying power, as it is nearly impossible to get permission. Palestinian homeowners say Israeli authorities are using the focus on Gaza to escalate the occupation.

Names of 5 killed in Tulkarem attack released

The Health Ministry in the occupied West Bank confirms five people were killed in an Israeli incursion into the Tulkarem refugee camp this morning.

A statement on Telegram said three men, a young girl and a 50-year-old woman died in the assault.

The names of the men killed – all identified as armed-group commanders – were announced as Ashraf Eid Zaher Nafeh, Muhammad Ibrahim Muhammad Awad, and Muhammad Badie Muhammad Radwan.

The girl’s name was Bayan Muhammad Jumaa Salama Eid and the woman was Iman Muhammad Jumaa. The Israeli army confirmed the raids earlier saying Nafeh and Awad were “terrorists” who carried out attacks against Israeli troops.

Qassam Brigades praises rise of resistance across occupied West Bank

The armed wing of Hamas says the resistance across “the cities, villages and camps of the West Bank has become painful for the occupier, causing deaths and injuries among its ranks on a daily basis”.

In its statement on Telegram, the group also extended its condolences after the killing of commander Ashraf Eid Zaher Nafeh in an Israeli attack earlier today on Tulkarem.

Qassam Brigades said its fighters targeted an Israeli D9 bulldozer with an explosive device in the Tulkarem refugee camp and engaged in “fierce clashes” with Israeli soldiers.
