Finally got around to getting Tekken 8. So counting this as finished the story and probs get the trophy in a few days. I only got it Friday. :P
Classic Tekken really, nonsense plot but fun none the less. Sadly modern Tekken's to me aren't as replayable as they used to be, Tekken 6's story was doing in a beat'em up style and was amazing, customisation unlocked via it was amazing too, playing with friends online and on team battle. 7 tried to do things MK story way but wasn't the best, outside of the very challenging final fight but was the start of the monetisation.
This just doesn't have the same charm. "Chosen one" character narrative of the story was cliched and kind dull, characters didn't fit in some cases.
As for the main game, same as ever, the gameplay and heat they added is a fun update, it looks amazing but Team Battle is gone, customisation is poor, the cute Wii like online mode which seems thrown together to replicate SF6's thing but hardly played online yet so might be better than I think. Then there is a battle pass, added monetisation, no Julia, no Lei, no Lucky Chloe, no Josie, no Miguel (pretty much all of my mains from previous years).
I just want Team Battle man, add it back Harada, please.... just don't make us pay for that too.
EDIT: Plat achieved. Less in this game than I thought, no Team Battle, fine but there isn't even tournaments in online, it's literally 1v1s. How did that happen? No voice chat, no Lei, no tournaments? All in exchange for a cute lobby thing?
