The Israeli military has released aerial footage that it claims shows its air strike earlier on southern Lebanon.

Three civilians were killed and three were wounded in the strike on a building in Bint Jbeil that Lebanese media said was a house, but the Israeli military said its attack on the area hit a “munitions warehouse” belonging to Hezbollah.

The Israeli military also confirmed a strike on Kfar Kila, claiming it was targeting a military building of the Lebanese armed group there as well.

Lebanese media have posted video that Al Jazeera has verified of the aftermath of an Israeli air strike on Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.

Israeli army says 20 rockets launched from Lebanon

The army says in an update on X that at 11:30 and 11:39pm local time (20:30, 20:39 GMT), about 20 total rockets were fired in two salvos from Lebanese territory.

It said that most of the rockets were intercepted and that in both cases,  there were no casualties.

Earlier, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which has been exchanging fire across the Lebanon-Israel border for the duration of Israel’s war on Gaza, announced the death of one of its fighters from a town that the Israeli army launched an attack on this evening.

Hezbollah did not say when and where this fighter was killed but typically, it uses rocket launches as retaliation for such killings.
